For hundreds of years, the Angelino Indians lived peaceful lives in the Silver Lake area. Today, their pastoral lifestyle has been lost, and most live in abject poverty.Even worse, certain misguided politicians are challenging the tribe's sovereignity, and thwarting their attempts at self-reliance. The tribe's proposed Silver Lake Casino will bring them much-needed economic benefits, and help redress the bitter circumstances of the past.
This completely modern, 50,000 square foot gaming emporium, tastefully decorated and located on the tribe's historical lands nestled above the Silver Lake Reservoir, will generate much-needed revenue for the tribe. But, not just the tribe will benefit!
The Casino will generate dozens of new jobs, revitalize the local economy, and bring tremendous tax benefits to the City.
